We provide basics to get you started. These include:

  • Tea Towel
  • Disposable dish cloth
  • Washing Up Liquid (bottle)
  • Two Dishwasher Tablets
  • Spare Black Dustbin Bags
  • A bar of Devon Handmade Soap in each bathroom.
  • A selection of instant coffee, tea, squash and sugar sachets
  • A pint of semi skimmed milk
  • One Toilet roll in each bathroom/cloakroom.

There is a Krups Dulce Gusto Coffee Machine in each apartment but we do not provide the coffee pods.  If you wish to purchase some you will need Dulce Gusto Pods which come in a variety of flavours from all the major supermarkets.

 You will receive your arrival information, directions, entrance codes and parking instructions via email a few days before your arrival.

At Riviera Apartments we can provide private parking nearby and directions will be sent to you with your arrival information. Please note that Penthouse Four will be issued with a parking permit for stays of 7 nights or more or will have parking costs reimbursed.

The parking permit is virtual therefore there is nothing physical to put in your vehicle.  It is very important that we have the correct registration number for your vehicle as permits are not transferrable and may become void.  If you are unsure of the registration number (i.e if you are hiring a car) then it is advisable to purchase your own permit online and we will reimburse your permit.

Keep your tickets and give them to a cleaner on your departure, he/she will reimburse you in cash.  Alternatively keep your tickets and post or email a photograph of them through to the office on enquiries@rivieraapartments.co.uk together with your bank account number and sort code, reimbursement will be made directly into your account.  Please note we cannot issue cheques.

There is ample public parking around Teignmouth where customers can park a second vehicle and we can provide a map for you.  For weekly stays parking permits can be purchased online for £30 per week.  The parking costs of a second vehicle are not covered by Riviera Apartments.

Unfortunately these have had to be temporarily removed during the Covid-19 pandemic.

There is a detailed Guest Manual at the bottom of our website which will provide you with the information you need.  Please note these have been temporarily removed from the apartments.

There is no facility to receive mail at the apartments.

Every apartment has its own boiler and therefore guests can control the heating of their own apartment. 

We have the best views in the whole area which also comes at a price, it can sometimes be very windy in the winter.  Consequently we have been advised by a structural engineer that solid divisions between the apartment balconies would act like a sail and put strain on the building.  Therefore we have opted for palms but they are a nice addition we think and are effective in marking the boundaries.  We have never had a complaint about balcony boundaries being infringed  by other guests.

Yes.  We have three major supermarkets nearby (Asda, Sainsburys and Tesco).  Please ensure you will be in your accommodation to receive it.  The address to use is:  Riviera Apartments, Den Crescent, Teignmouth, Devon TQ14 8BD – please do not send correspondence to this address.  Please note that for Tesco orders you will need to use the following address:  The Roof, Den Crescent, TQ14 8BG

No.  The apartments are rented as holiday accommodation only and are not permitted to be used as a party venue.  Guests who are not staying at the apartments are not permitted unless prior consent is given by the management and all noise, especially in the evening should be kept to a minimum and non-resident guests are requested to leave by 9pm.

Yes, there is parking outside the apartments which is one hour time limit during the day.

We have a keypad entry system for new arrivals, the details will be sent to you with your arrival information.

Arrival can be anytime from 4pm – during the Covid-19 pandemic please do not arrive early unless invited to.

During the covid-19 pandemic guests must have completely left the building by 10am.  To avoid hold ups in the hallway waiting for the lift please do not leave at the last minute.

Yes.  This can be arranged by emailing the office prior to your stay.  Please note that this is chargeable.

There is no need to clean the apartment on your departure but we do ask guests to leave it in a tidy condition.  We respectfully request that all towels are placed in either the shower tray or the bath and that guests do not leave dirty dishes or a full dirty dishwasher.

Yes we will change your linen and towels for you mid-week.

Penthouse 1,2,3 and 4 can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests with the use of the sofa bed.  Penthouse Five can accommodate up to 8 guests with the sofa bed.  There is no additional charge for bringing extra guests but for insurance reasons the numbers cannot exceed the maximum number allowed in each apartment.  Please also note that we must be accurately informed on the amount of occupants in the apartments on particular nights, this is very important should there be a fire or other emergency.  Guests must observe current government guidelines regarding mixing households.

We will always endeavour to assist guests who decide they would like the use of the sofa bed after their arrival but we cannot guarantee that this can be achieved on the same day.

We provide one bath towel, one hand towel, one face cloth and one beach towel per person.

The postcode is TQ14 8BD.  Please note that some SatNav systems tend to take people a couple of hundred yards down the road so when entering Teignmouth it is preferable to follow the written directions supplied with your arrival email.

Yes. The password will be in your apartment upon arrival.

No. Our insurers do not allow us to permit the use of barbeques on the balcony.  BBQs are permitted on Teignmouth beach.

Teignmouth main beach and back beach are both sandy.  When the tide goes out there are some great rockpools to be found at Shaldon just over the Estuary. Shaldon is a five minute journey via the passenger ferry which goes from Teignmouth back beach.

We have a lift for exclusive use of Riviera Apartments.  Guests should be aware that we cannot be held responsible for any failure or interruption of services such as electricity which affect the operation of the lift.  Very occasionally the lift may fail for whatever reason and we have a full service contract with a local company who will endeavour to rectify the problem as quickly as possible.  Once reported, lift repairs are completely out of the hands of members of staff at Riviera Apartments.  There are two fire exits which service the building and details can be found on our Access Statement on our website.

We provide one set of keys but there is a lockable key box in the entrance foyer which guests can leave their keys in if they are returning at different times to other members of their group.
