Riviera Apartments are a collection of 5 Penthouse Self Contained Apartments at Teignmouth, Devon. They are located at the top of the building and are accessed via lift.
The Riviera Apartments website is very comprehensive with detailed descriptions of apartments, room plans and many photographs. Bookings are usually made by either telephone or email, with confirmations by email or if preferred by letter.
Maps and Directions will be included in the booking letter, as well as details of public transport routes.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
Car Parking is provided within a private car park approximately 300 yards from the entrance to the building, within this car park there is one space per apartment.
A trolley is available in the reception area to assist guests with transportation of luggage to and from their vehicle. Guests may choose to offload their luggage before moving their car to the car park.
There are two steps up to the main lobby area.
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area
The main entrance is accessed up two steps through a key coded front door.
Check in arrangements will be made in advance with guests once we have received their booking. Reception is open for check in on Saturdays but guests may also check in themselves through a key code system at any time of day or night.
Once inside the main entrance guests may access the key to their apartment, one of which can be used to operate the lift which goes directly to The Penthouse Apartments.
Public Areas – Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc
Once at Penthouse level there is a communal entrance hallway which has a leaflet display giving details of local attractions. A communal corridor is the main access for all five apartments. There is external and internal lighting which is sensor operated. CCTV is also in operation throughout the entrances and communal areas for guest security.
Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Bar area, Take Away & Cafe
Full English or Continental Breakfast is provided to all guests at the Beachcomber Cafe adjacent to the building between the hours of 8am – 10am daily.
There is currently no ramped access to the building.
Riviera Apartments have WIFI available in all apartments free of charge.

The apartments can be accessed by car, bus or by train (the station is approximately 5 minutes walk where there is also a taxi rank.
There is a shop mobility scheme at Princesshay Car Park in the nearby city of Exeter which is approximately 20 minutes by car.
The nearest public toilets are approximately 300 yards from the business by the beach.
Apartments 1 and 2 are the only apartments that are suitable for wheelchair users. There are no extra provisions within the apartment for wheelchair users.
All apartments have their own washing machine and tumble drier.
Bedrooms & Sleeping Areas
The Executive Penthouse has three double bedrooms, Penthouse 1, 2, 3 and 4 each have two double bedrooms. Each second bedroom has a double or twin bed option. There is no provision for wheelchair users within the apartments, however there are no steps within Penthouse 1 and 2. For large families there is the provision of a sofa bed in every lounge. This facility must be agreed with the proprietor prior to arrival and bed linen will be provided for all sofa beds also.
Bathroom, Shower-room & WC
Each Apartment has either ensuite facilities or separate family bathrooms. Please see the website for more specific information.
The kitchens are fully equipped with plenty of workspace, cupboards and storage.
The appliances include fridge with separate freezer, fan oven and electric hob. A separate microwave is also provided.
All utensils, crockery and cutlery is provided as well as pots and pans.
Riviera Apartments are a non smoking building and unfortunately we cannot accept dogs.
